Privacy Policy
Bacon Group SAS (“Bacon Games” / “Side of fries”)
Effective date: August 12, 2026 Last updated: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile games and applications (“Games”) published by Bacon Group SAS, Calle 95 #14-45 Of. 201, Bogotá, Colombia (trading as “Bacon Games” — “we,” “us”) under any of our developer accounts — including Bacon Games and “Side of fries.” It explains what information we collect when you play our Games, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It does not apply to games we develop that are published by third parties — those are governed by the publisher’s own privacy policy.
This policy covers all Games we publish. Where a specific Game collects information beyond what is described here, that Game’s store listing and Data Safety / App Privacy disclosures will say so.
1. Information we collect
Collected automatically when you play:
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system and version, language, region/country, screen properties, app version, and IP address. IP addresses are used transiently to derive approximate region and for security and anti-fraud purposes; we do not retain raw IP addresses beyond short-term operational logs.
- Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID), Google App Set ID, and a per-install identifier we generate.
- Gameplay and usage data: sessions, session length, level and progress events, in-game actions, feature usage, crashes, and performance diagnostics.
- Advertising and attribution data: which ad campaign or creative led you to install (via the Google Play install referrer and our advertising partners’ measurement tools), and — in Games that show ads — ad-interaction events.
- Purchase data (only in Games with in-app purchases): purchase events and transaction identifiers from the app store. We do not receive or store your payment card details; purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple.
We do not knowingly collect: precise location, contacts, photos, messages, health data, or biometric data. Our Games do not require accounts.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Games: sessions, saves and progress, and delivering content and updates.
- To measure and improve: analytics on how our Games are played (engagement, retention, difficulty, crashes) — this is core to how we decide which Games to keep developing.
- To acquire players and measure advertising: attributing installs to campaigns and measuring campaign performance. Where our Games show ads, the ads are non-personalized.
- To keep the Games fair and secure: fraud prevention, abuse detection, and enforcing our terms.
- To comply with law and enforce our rights.
Legal bases (EEA/UK players, where applicable): performance of a contract (operating the Game you chose to play); legitimate interests (analytics, security, non-personalized advertising and measurement); consent where required; legal obligation.
3. Who we share information with
We use third-party services to run our Games. They process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:
- Platforms: Google Play Services (Google LLC); Apple Inc. (for iOS Games).
- Analytics and backend: Vlitz — our own backend infrastructure, hosted on Google Cloud (United States).
- Attribution and measurement: Google Play install referrer; Meta Platforms, Inc. (measurement of our install campaigns).
- In-game advertising (in Games that show ads): AppLovin MAX (ad mediation), configured for non-personalized ads.
- Service providers: cloud hosting and related infrastructure (Google Cloud).
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising partners may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under certain US state laws — see Section 7 for your opt-out rights.
A current list of our data partners is available on request at privacy@bacongames.co.
4. International transfers
We operate from Colombia and use service providers in the United States and elsewhere. Where data from jurisdictions with transfer restrictions (such as the EEA/UK) is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep raw gameplay and analytics event data for up to 12 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Aggregated statistics may be kept indefinitely. Attribution data is retained per our partners’ standard terms. Experimental Games are frequently discontinued; when a Game is retired, its player data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days.
6. Children
Our Games are intended for players aged 13 and over and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@bacongames.co and we will delete it.
7. Your rights and choices
- Advertising choices: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Access, correction, deletion: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@bacongames.co with the Game name and, where possible, your device information. We honor requests as required by applicable law, including the GDPR and UK GDPR, US state privacy laws (such as the CCPA/CPRA), and Colombia’s Ley 1581 de 2012.
- US state residents: you may opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising by emailing privacy@bacongames.co. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit.
- EEA/UK residents (where applicable): you also have rights to restriction, portability, and objection, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
- Colombia: holders of personal data may exercise their rights of access, correction, and deletion under Ley 1581 de 2012 by contacting privacy@bacongames.co.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls based on least privilege. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Games and practices evolve. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where required, notified in-game or via the store listing. Continued play after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
